Q: How do I book a session?
A: Please send me a message via my contact form, by phone at (515) 490-8656, or by email. I've found that having a no-obligation consultation (typically in person, or by phone or Zoom) is a good way to break the ice and help us get to know each other. During that consultation, I’ll provide information about printed products and digital images I offer. Once I receive your session reservation fee, your session is officially booked.
Q: What should I wear for my session?
A: Prior to your session, we’ll discuss possible attire for your photo shoot. I’ll offer suggestions based on my experience and will provide recommendations for color, layers, and textures that will help you look your best.
It's a great idea to send photos of what you think you'll wear. I’ll then provide feedback on your choices. My general advice is that attire should not distract from the people in the photos. However, there are no set rules. For example, busy t-shirt designs can be distracting ... except sometimes those can awesomely reflect your personality! It's also best to wear colors you feel good in. If you rarely wear certain colors or don't think they look good on you, don't choose them for your session.
Remember, THERE ARE NO RULES! But, I am happy to provide tips with a designer's eye for showing you and your personality at your best.
Q: How do I know what to order?
A: Oftentimes, clients are so excited about the variety of printed products I offer, it's hard to choose what to order! I am happy to help guide you in selecting the right prints and keepsakes for your home, your office, and to give as gifts.
I spend time getting to know you and your home or business environment and offer suggestions on what products or groupings will work best in those spaces. With my help as a designer, clients who order printed items from me feel more comfortable making decisions about what to order of their very favorite images.
Thank you for your interest. I look forward to working with you!
